I had the opposite experience. Most comfortable over ears (after applying dekoni nuggets) I have ever used. I thought I would be disappointed in the bass compared to my HE-560’s but feel the bass is clearer on the HD800s, though a bit quieter.

I haven’t been able to find authentic connectors. That mini xlr is much smaller than I expected.

Wouldn’t that put extra stress on the earcup connectors?

I like the hart modular system in theory, but having that mini xlr in the middle of the cable isn’t very convenient.

How are the microphonics on MA cables? Do they sell sleeved cables at all?

I do have a soldering iron, but would prefer more professional work. Are there any shops that will sell me a modified stock cable?

I’m glad the connectors from audiophile ninja work well. I read in a forum that a pair of the connectors from sennheiser is $80, so assumed that cables less than $200 wouldn’t have quality connectors. Thank you for the help.

I'm wondering the same thing. I have hd650s and I'm having trouble finding dac/amp combos that provide enough power.

How does the quickie affect/work with the crack? I'm not exactly sure what a preamp will do for me. I have yet to take the dive into this hobby and I don't have a ton of money, but I just bought the crack. I'm wondering if it's worth pairing it with the quickie.
