Its aluminium wire. I heard that means I have to use aluminium solder with it too?   I have managed to find some guy selling a pair with a damaged driver for cheap enough anyway but  it would be worth trying to fix up damaged ones. I can only learn from it.

Yeah it's definitely the voice coil cables. I've heard of people soldering them but it's meant to be a very tricky job! Looks like I'll have to replace the driver at this rate, bollox.   thanks for the reply.

So, is it possible, has anybody had to do it before or something similiar or should I cut my losses?? there the amperior model so the drivers are hard to come by and I'd probably have to buy a pair which is about the same price as a new pair of headphones, stress. Any help would be greatly...
