I was talking about iOS, from my understanding any app can use dac on 7.x.

For me it's streaming of hi res files and a better ui(at least while fiio don't fix some of the quirks).

  Yeah,  app store would be harder. Now I'm even more anxious for evad3rs' release, that darn iTunes(through vm it really sucks) gets on my nerves.   Hopefully fiio's implementation of class 2 is compatible with most dacs  so that an app shows up w/ the jb. I wonder why James didn't implement...

The former, sadly.   Does anyone have an Apple device running 7.x laying around? There was an user who couldn't get it to work in this setup. It would be great to stream hi-res files to the x3 through Plex or even iTunes Sharing.   Maybe the latter is what James said a while ago. I'll dig up...
