Just lost my 6 years old Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5Pro headphones...now what

So, just as a follow up to this. In the end I went for the Sure SE315s. I tried them in a shop back in the UK and they were going for a reasonable price so I thought I'd get them. I do feel that they don't have quite as good a sound quality as my Super Fi 5Pros - probably due to the only single...

Just lost my 6 years old Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5Pro headphones...now what

OK so unfortunately the UE900s, which were for sale (used) at £100 have already gone. I'm now looking closely at the Shure SE215 as I think that although they are a lot cheaper, they might be offering everything I want.   @seanwee unfortunatey most of the suggestions you've given seem to be...

Just lost my 6 years old Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5Pro headphones...now what

Oh, and I also tried on the XBA A2 yesterday in a shop. They seemed nice but the fit wasn't great (probably because I couldn't change the ear buds). They were pretty huge though!

What do you guys think of the UE900s? I've obviously seen the reviews here and they've been mixed. Would they compete with what you've already listed seanwee? I've seen some going for pretty cheap in my area, so I'm tempted.   My assumption is that they're on par with the Super Fi 5 Pros?

Just lost my 6 years old Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5Pro headphones...now what

Update: I've just been to a music shop to listen to a couple of different headphones. Whilst their selection wasn't great, testing out different headphones did make me realise that over-the-ear IEMs are almost a must for me. One crucial bit of info that I forgot to mention was that I'm a drummer...

Just lost my 6 years old Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5Pro headphones...now what

Awesome, thanks seanwee!   As an FYI, my "stop gap" headphones - Xiaomi Piston 3 - just arrived through the post today (I'm currently in China so these only set me back $12!), and obviously these are cheap compared with what I had, but it's given me a good idea of what I really like. These...

Just lost my 6 years old Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5Pro headphones...now what

Yep I've had a look, there are a lot of terms, but here are the few that I picked out...!   I guess I'm looking for something with a big soundstage as well being detailed. Bass is important, but I also want to hear my upper and mid ranges well - I guess full would be a good way to describe...

Just lost my 6 years old Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5Pro headphones...now what

Cool, thanks. I'll read through those two posts and try and get a better idea of my profile. I like my bass, but definitely one of my worries is that a lot of IEMs nowadays have too much bass which overpowers the bits I like (hearing the guitar scraping/scratching and real clarity of cymbals etc.)

I've been thinking about it more, and perhaps I could go with some in-ears that don't have removable cables if there are some really good options out there. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Just lost my 6 years old Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5Pro headphones...now what

Hi guys!   It's been a while since I've been on here looking at new headphones (probably around 6 years!). This weekend I was unfortunate enough to lose my 6 years old pair of UE Super Fi 5Pro headphones, which I've loved using all this time. I'm a drummer so having headphones that keep out...
