Well, which iems did you use? Let me guess, SM64? That entire frequency is non-existant on the SM64. It doesn't matter how much you boost it, you're not gonna hear anything.

It's the 5khz frequency that is missing and it's a very important frequency because it gives the mids crispness and clarity.

I wouldn't call them "abomination". They still sound pretty good. I was just commenting on jrwong28's post in which he said that the earsonics are more neutral than the shure. I think the opposite is true.

I have auditioned them at Jaben. Even Vsonic GR07 MKII sounded clearer in the mids. The 64 were less prone to sibilance, though. I still think they are overpriced.

SM64 is far from neutral. The bass is boosted and the upper mids are very recessed. The 5khz frequency is completely missing, which makes it sound muddy.

Maybe he's saying the LCD-X soundstage is deeper and that the PM-1s soundstage is wider.

I realize that, but that's not the reason I'm criticizing them. I don't care about the phones' style as long as they sound good. Problem is M100s' SQ is subpar IMO.

Sorry, for me personally there's noting cool about the brand or their design. My criticism is solely based on their SQ. I'm sure it's the same for others on this thread.
