    V-moda M100 or M80

Agreed   M100's are one of the best public consumer use headphones to enter the Audiophile market. Somewhat mainstream music listener influenced sound signature, but with more Audiophile quality in the sound. The LP's are in no way for Audiophiles, just an option for bass-heads to test out...

Seeking closed circumaural headpones, ~$100, must be comfortable with large cups

Slightly off topic, but here's a small discussion on the Momentums, HD800's with some amp talk as well: pg 58 http://www.head-fi.org/t/627587/sennheiser-momentum-review/855

    Good Bass Headphone Setup

The M100's are definitely built like a tank. ("military-grade" testing according to their site) The Matte black even has a sexy stealth fighter feel to it.   Comfort-wise though, they tend to hurt for bigger ears after a while. My M80's hurt my average sized left ears within minutes of use...

Seeking closed circumaural headpones, ~$100, must be comfortable with large cups

Low Ohm headphones are easier to drive. As in, you don't need an amp to feel it's power. They are built to be heard straight out of a DAP or other music player, amp not absolutely necessary.   Higher Ohm headphones require more juice to power through them. An amp is ideal in this situation, to...

    Good Bass Headphone Setup

+1 on the V-moda M100's. Great set if your looking for some strong, much cleaner than Beats... Bass   Check out the Basshead forums. A lot going on there though. The M100's work great with a lot of music, but EDM has practically adopted the M100's as their own. Mainly because it out-pours a...

Fiio Andes (E07K) VS. Fiio E17: What's the difference, and how does it sway the amateur audiophile?

Just got the E7 myself. Don't have much to compare it to since it's my first amp/dac. I'll be hooking it up Vmoda M80, M100 -> an outdated laptop, old ipod 30gb brick, HTC One & iPhone 5... So I'll throw in my .02 cents of noob level experience later.

E7 vs E11 vs E17 - Which is the best purchase?

I'm new to the game, so bear with me.    Hate to see every M100 + DAC/AMP thread die out... Basically from what I've read (more than experience), M100 are low impedence headphones. An amp will give more fruitful results for High Ohms impedence headphones ... the best combo is a low impedence...

    amp for v-moda m100

How's everyone's experience been after a few months? Just got an E7 for my M100's to use on my iDevices & laptop. Starting to think it was unnecessary now, but I'm hoping it will be a solid upgrade to my laptops shoddy audio card.

    Sennheiser MOMENTUM On-Ear Contest

New to HeadFi and too late to compete! Congrats to the lucky winners, sweep them unruly beats off our streets. Good to see great headphones put to even greater use!

    V-moda M100 or M80

The M80's are known to be neutral sounding. They were made to take the sound straight to your ears as the song was made to sound. I can't compare with the Jaycars, but I can say the M80's do have slightly more bass strength than the more neutral over-ears. Not by much if your a basshead though...

    V-MODA Shield Design Discussion

Man, all these designs look sick! Thank you to everyone who posts their customs shields. It's inspiring to see all the designs and motivational after seeing the end-product come out so well.    Hopefully I can work my avatar into a shield nicely. Anyone try out the "croc-skin" shields? I want...

    V-Moda M-80s at Radio Shack for $40!!!

I've noticed that the M-80's don't adjust well to preset EQ's on my devices. They seem to be made to play each song exactly how it was supposed to sound, with EQ off naturally. The sound-stage for vocals almost sound live, but it will let your ears know when it has to play a...

    V-Moda M-80s at Radio Shack for $40!!!

I'm new to the Forum, just joined now to enter this thread haha. Ever since I bought 2 of the M-80's a few weeks ago, I have done a lot of behind-the-scenes reading here about them. Great neutral sound with slight bass emphasis (~5dB range?)... Great high range for vocals, but I would've...
