Will there be a market for custom made Hi-Fi player leather protector?
Hi, I'm kinda curious if there would be a market for high end custom made leather case here. Like the the C4 case below. Hand made with top layer leather. Total cost would be around $130 included shipping to the US.- Perpetually

Looking to buy a second-handed amplifier to couple with my Benchmark Dac 1 USB
Hi there, I'm looking to buy a second-handed amplifier to couple with my Benchmark Dac 1 USB. My budget is around $400 maximum and the sound I'm looking for is like LYR. Warm and powerful with Kokia's (a japanese singer) voice. However, all I have are low impedance headphones (K550 and w4r)...- Perpetually

Need help for buying a second-handed $600-700 level dac.
and yes i do have an amp, I'm using LYR to drive my re-cabled K550. Not the best option but it's kinda alright. Background noise is hardly noticeable unless I stop the music and turn the volume close to max.- Perpetually

V moda crossfade m100
I know it is designed to be portable.. I've listened to it and it's just like what Primetime86 says, it sounds really muddy. I tried both the M100 and Momentum with my itouch and you can tell the difference when you first put them on. The momentum with an itouch sounds pretty clear but the M100...- Perpetually

400$ range, beyer t 70 or hifiman he 400
Imo I don't think any of the 2 cans you provided is a good option. I've heard that T70 sounds a little lack of bass when it comes to rock and metal, which is a really important factor for your type of music. the Hifiman, well, forgive me I just don't like it... i've never heard them but Hifiman...- Perpetually

400$ range, beyer t 70 or hifiman he 400
I agree on your point that open back cans can give a more comfortable listening experience and a greater soundstage. But it means it will however disturb others because people hear exactly what you hear... if a little privacy is needed then I think closed back headphones can do a better job.- Perpetually

Fake AKG K702 Headphones????
I haven't heard anything about the fake k702 on the market yet, usually people only worried about the fake k450. I don't know if they still use the serial number or have removed the bumps. However, imo you should only worry if your headphones are fake when they look exactly the same product but...- Perpetually

Anyone know the differences between Furutech CF-763 and FT-763?
Hi guys, I'm looking to replace the jack of my AKG K550 Cardas Fat Pipe upgraded headphones. I mainly listen to Japanese female singers and light musics/BGMs. I'm kinda wondering what are the differences between Furutech CF-763 and FT-763? If there are only minor difference, will this kind...- Perpetually

Colorfly C4 turned to brick
Hi Sefelt103, Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I mailed it back to China already. After days of communicating with the Colorfly after-sales staff in both Europe and China through email, they decided it's better to ask me ship the C4 back to China and let the engineer check. Beside the...- Perpetually

AKG K550 with Cardas Fat Pipe + Cardas GRQ SS 1/4?
Hi, I have an AKG K550 sent to HeadRoom to upgrade the cable to Cardas Fat Pipe. Because I used 1/8 plug more often since my C4 is down, they offered me the Neutrik Rean 1/8 gold plated jack. However I'm still wondering will it be better if I replace the Neutrik jack with the Cardas GRQ SS...- Perpetually

Colorfly C4 turned to brick
Hi everybody, I bought a Colorfly C4 about 3 years ago and only used it for a few months since it turned to brick twice after each time I updated the firmware (apparently I didn't learn). I tried to contact their Europe company and they told me they don't have any local distributor in North...- Perpetually

[Help] AKG K550 waiting to repair
Hi PurpleAngel, I found HeadRoom online and asked them to recable my K550 with a 5 feet of Cardas if they detect the drivers are functioning well. I'm so relaxed that I found professionals to do the job for me and all I need to do is ship and wait. Thank you very much for your advice so I...- Perpetually

[Help] AKG K550 waiting to repair
Hi everybody, I bought a pair of AKG K550 headphones one and a half years ago, and now the two channels are unbalanced (right channel volume is about 20% lower). They are still in the 2 years warranty but because my plug was rugged by my friend (so regret to lend him) 1 year ago, I can't ask...- Perpetually
