According to the AKG web site, it is available only in blue and white. I hope they will release a gray/black model soon... Strangely the AKG web site does not mention the transport bag and the additional cord...

Is the cable detachable as with K451? What's in the box? A second cable, a transport bag?

Fortunately the amp of the Sansa Clip is powerful enough... Do you know how powerful is the amp of the iPad 3? Could it drive the ATH-M50 or the HD 380 Pro?

  Are you sure? The Audio-Technica ATH-M50 is 38 ohm​, the Sennheiser HD 380 Pro 54 ohm... I fear that I will need an amp, especially for the HD 380 Pro... 

A friend of mine suggested two Beyerdynamic headphones: DT 770 PRO 32 Ohm and Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro. Are they really superior to the models listed above?

Just out of curiosity: the price of the K550's has dropped dramaticaly in the last year. How do you explain this?

  I was hoping that the replacement of the cable was a DIY thing, but I can't find any guide on YouTube specific to the K550's.   I generally listen to jazz, but also to classical, dance and pop.

One of the reasons I had placed the Sennheiser HD 380 Pro in my short list was that their cable was detachable. As you know, the cable of the K550's  is not detachable. So what happens when it breaks? Is it easy to disassembling the product and replace the cable?
