Well, he said he’s using only one BNC input on the Qutest.

He is using a Qutest as a DAC, not a Dave. It supports only a single wire connection. Check his previous posts.

You are talking about PRAT (Pace, Rhythm and Timing). That's what Naim is famous for. I owned a lot of Naim kit. In fact I spent a fortune trying new power supplies, components, cables, etc. and was never satisfied. A friend of mine told me to try the LFD Integrated Amp designed and hand built...

Now that I’ve put some time in with the Blu2 and know what it sounds like with my Aavik U-300, could you tell me what I’m missing with the Class D amp? My dealer is demoing the Blu.2/Dave as the front end to a system that has Aavik class A mono blocks driving Raidho D5.1’s. I want to ask him...

I'm not willing for several reasons, one of them is that I have heard Ansuz DTC's w/o power and they don't sound very good. I wouldn't know if it's because of Blu2 noise or the normal loss to sound quality when power is removed. It would be a waste of time. Second, I can't think why anyone would...

As I keep saying, I am not going to put ferrites on my cables nor am I going to use anything else. Consequently, I don't care if the DTC's fix the noise problem or not. I'm happy with way it sounds and so are the vast majority of Blu2 owners who haven't got a clue that there is a problem with...

I know its Class D. I don't know what that is but I've been listening to Blu2/Dave and if there are problems with the U-300, I wouldn't know it. It's a terrific amp.

I didn’t use ferrites to eliminate noise but I believe my cables accomplished the same thing. I use Audeze LCD-4’s and you should be able to listen at higher volumes, hear a fuller sound stage and maybe more depth depending on the phones you are using. Sennheiser HD-800’s might produce a wider...

I haven’t tried it because it’s a bit inconvenient to do it, The power box is on the floor under the lowest shelf in the rack and the other ends of the cables from the power box are plugged into the DTC cables at a location that’s hard to reach w/o unplugging the DTC cables from the Blu2. I’m...

That’s what I’m hearing. I can play an entire symphony w/o touching the volume control. Also, the space between the speakers is filled in with good depth. A very nice sound stage. A good listening experience. I now prefer the Chord Blu2/Dave combo to the DAC in my Aavik Integrated amp. So...

I'll give it a try but I hear that when I plug a DTC signal cable into the power box no matter the application.

OK, but I want to listen to it for a while before I do that. Are you thinking I should hear the problems the ferrite's are supposed to take care of?

What frequency(s) are we concerned with?. It's academic anyway because I don't think I can use ferrite's on Ansuz DTC cables given their construction. So far, I'm really pleased with the Blu2/Dave combo using both CD's and music streamed from Tidal via an Aurender N10.

It’s beyond my comprehension but I just wanted assurance that I needn’t have to deal with ferrites.

I asked the makers of my BNC cables if the design of those cables would accomplish what ferrites accomplish and they said this... In our DTC Cables we have some coil-based devices wrapped around the shell/ground of the cable. They work similar to ferrites, but at a steeper/higher frequency and...

The power is required for the Tesla coils. The results are very low noise and other benefits. The cables are made one at a time in Denmark by a single person. It's my understanding that it's reshaped and changed to a frequency that doesn't affect the sound quality. It's beyond my comprehension...

I can't comment since I don't know much about it. I do know that the DC voltage supplied by the Ansuz power box is relatively low. I did a lot of cable a/b'ing while I was waiting to get my Blu2. I'd bought a pair of Ansuz C2 digital coax cables to connect it to my Dave. I compared one of these...

Yes, I'm confident that I explained the problem as it is. Here's what I was told.... In our DTC Cables we have some coil-based devices wrapped around the shiel/ground of the cable. They work similar to ferrites, but at a steeper/higher frequency and with more resolve. They work by actively...

I contacted Ansuz about the problem with the noise. Its what I expected. I’m told that my active cables will actually do a better job than ferrites.

Nelson Pass once called audiophiles the Lunatic Fringe. He got that right. I'll be using my Blu2 with an Aurender N10 streamer. I do have a CD collection but it's all on the N10 and I don't intend to buy more CD's or even play them with the Blu2.

The Tesla coil deals with noise in the signal path. It is powered by a power box that can handle all the powered cables. I have both Coax and USB DTC cables and they are connected by a separate wire that comes with each cable. Bud

The problem with that is to do an apples to apples comparison I would have to modify two Ansuz DTC cables. I.won’t learn anything using a cable that lacks what the DTC cables can do. First I want to see how things go with what I have. Bud
