The Apple diyMod: My Take on the Famous iMod [56k killer] Featuring 3G, 4G, 5G and nano 1G!
Direct out is cleanest (I did it before dminor). You do not need to unsolder anything with direct out, only cut the out pins connection to board. Adding caps will change sound slightly. Though you will need amp with caps on input.- FARfromHOME

Got my DX50 in November 2013. At the end of last year left side started to loose signal. Month ago I had to open and resolder the socket. Now works as new.- FARfromHOME

No, not expensive. Any material will do as long as it can stand a bit of heat and is not soft. Even the shell out of acrylic will do. The mold does not get heated, only Mylar. Only heat the mold gets is from hot Mylar once vacuuming.- FARfromHOME

Let me explain what I mean: At work we sometimes use Mylar for vacforming. It is BoPET. "BoPET (Biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate) is a polyester film made from stretched polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and is used for its high tensile strength, chemical and dimensional stability...- FARfromHOME

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
Planning to upgrade from Vsonic R07 MKII. What do you recommend? I'm not a basshead but dont like total lack of it, like brainwavz b2 mentioned above. Previous page. For that reason I prefer dynamic. If there is a balanced, better in all aspects? Maybe? Budget around £300 / $500 Thank you- FARfromHOME

iPod 5.5 240GB + RedWine iMod VS. other DAP (550$ range)
Large mp3 collection? - go for imod. If you plan to rip cd's in flac then there are better options: AK, iBasso etc. I have iBasso DX50 and few rockboxed imods. For mp3 imod is better imo. But when it comes to higher resolution files, it can't compete with iBasso. 80Mh vs 1000Mh cpu!- FARfromHOME
