Hi, I'm interested in suggestions for a desktop DAC Amp setup with no audible noise floor (black background) for sensitive IEMs

If you want the best value for the buck sweet spot, then the JDS Atom Amp 2 is advertised as having no noise, even with its newest design. My Atom Amp is noiseless with the CA Solaris Gold that I owned, so the Atom Amp 2 should just be even more of the same and even when paired with a Atom DAC...

What are some dacs under $300 that match really well with Hifiman Ananda Nano headphones?

In regards to the regular/signature zen can amps, the most apparent difference is the name brand electrical parts between the two with the regular amps from an currently unknown company (probably the best value type, which is just above average in most comparisons with other amps) and signature...

What are some dacs under $300 that match really well with Hifiman Ananda Nano headphones?

For what you want with the Topping items, you will probably need to try them out yourself with your gear and have a solid refund strategy with what you do not want. Here are some amps that are on pre-order and sale as well: https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/products/hifiman-ef499-dac-amplifier...

What are some dacs under $300 that match really well with Hifiman Ananda Nano headphones?

The output on the zen can amp is usually 4.4mm balanced (or RCA out on the zen can air model) and you would need this adapter and XLR extension cables for your monitors to connect to the zen amp: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/204472270809...

What are some dacs under $300 that match really well with Hifiman Ananda Nano headphones?

Hopefully, your budget meant USD and your speakers have balanced inputs, as this AMP (no DAC, but a balanced DAC dongle that can be added for as low as $60 USD, like the HiBy FC3) has onboard XBass, XSpace, and combined with 4 gain levels, 3 inputs, and 1 balanced 4.4mm output...

OpenBacks optimised for the Sony wm1am2

You’re welcome. ☺️ I had recommended the Sony MDR-MW1 because of its recent release and how Sony stuff typically plays at least a decent synergy together (not just for audio, too), but I am really happy hearing about you going to Japan and trying all of this stuff out yourself. Feel free on...

Looking for brands of DAC/Amp stacks that have matching, stackable Power Amps that I can add later. Prioritizing build quality and clean, simple looks.

So if you do not mind used, then this used Sennheiser HDVD800 is at a great price: https://www.ebay.com/itm/166708604656 With the XLR-only outs, you can connect a studio subwoofer with XLR-ins and have that subwoofer connect to studio speakers with its XLR-outs, like this one...

There is an headphone amp in the front with an 3.5mm out that is specially made for in-ear-monitors, but it is single-ended only. More expensive RME ADI-2 models have the headphone amp in balanced as well.

So everything looks good, but those Dekoni ear pad sets will start to rip after constant switching, so do a lot of searching for ear pad remover wedge tools and videos for using them on headphones, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PHNMEMC/ Also, a nice little ear pad replacement...

So if you are keen on getting the CA Supermoon and need something durable for the next several months, then think out pairing the Supermoon with the iFi xDSD (predecessor to the Gryphon) and Philips Fidelio X2HR, just so you have cheaper stuff that better fits your needs...

Unfortunately, yes. The HD820 sounds amazing with some EQ, but its entire design is kinda loose and dainty, making it unsuitable for many types of field work. There is a open-back that folds flat, along with cooling gel headband pleather to protect the pleather and add comfort, a compatible...

I do not know how the CA Supermoon sound, but the HD820 sound amazing with EQ. The only thing is that you will need a pelican case to protect the HD820 gimbals, headband, and glass driver backings. At least this size should work...

    Donating old IEMs

I had planned on doing something like this…then the pandemic happened and put all of that on hold. So my suggestion is to go to a library during after school hours and ask the librarian if it is okay to give the sets of earbuds away to those who are busy reading. If they approve of it, then...

Considering your usage rankings and your constant travel, getting a Audio Technica ATH-AP2000ti as a closed-back for most of the time and Audeze LCD-i3 as a open-back IEM for more quiet times or times when you really need the airiness in your sound would make an awesome value combo for your...

Actually, if you want to stretch your budget out a little bit, then you can get the SMSL SH-9 amp used and Sennheiser HD250 Linear II here and still have enough money to repair your Rega Brio 3: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315265123586 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266752889353 Then, if you can...

So just to make sure, you are getting a brand new JDS Atom Amp 2 and Hifiman Sundara Closed or Sennheiser HD569 (all of the links are above) to go along with fixing your Rega Brio 3. Get all of that done and post your comments on your fixed and new audio setup. :)

You can switch between both inputs from your sources (extra inputs for a possible streamer and such, too) and outputs to your Rega Brio 3 or your future headphone amp. As for tone control, if you don’t care for it, then do not worry about it. That used Atom amp was sold, but the JDS Atom 2...

So I took a closer look at the Rega Brio 3 from this page: https://tmraudio.com/components/integrated-amplifiers/rega-brio-3-stereo-integrated-amplifier-mm-mc-phono-black/ ...and I assume that you were looking to hook up a headphone amplifier to the Tape Output section, as that is the only...

    System inspo please

Assuming that your Rega P1 has a built-in-phono-stage, yes. For your Cambridge CD36, you will probably have to go at least 250 quid on a DAC to improve the sound. That all depends on where your amp is blown. I know that this headphone amp is rather cheap looking, but it has tone control that...
