Review by 'Chiek' on item 'Sony NWZ-W273BLK 4GB Waterproof Walkman Sports MP3 Player (Black)'

Love this swimming MP3 player. Battery power and 4 GB storage are more than sufficient for hours of swimming pleasure. It did take me a while with tial and error to optimise it's use and to avoid trouble.    Initially, with bad fitting earbuds, water leaked into the ear canal while I was...

Review by 'Chiek' on item 'AUDIO TECHNICA ATH-MSR7'

At -20oC right now in the middle of the Norwegian winter, these beautiful ear muffs keep my ears from frostbitten, while piping in my favourite genre of folk music. Like Unkle Bob's Satellite. Listening to Zac Brown Band's songs like 'Knee Deep' and 'Goodbye in her eyes', made me cry because it...

Review by 'Chiek' on item 'SONY MDR-EX650 T Inner ear Headphones Brass brown'

Headphones got to be reviewed in relation to the genre of music. These pair of budget headphones is impressive with pop folk rock. Try them with Matt Wertz 'Bring it on Back'. Sweet!    I like these pair of earphones more than the higher priced Supra Nitro.

Review by 'Chiek' on item 'SUPRA NiTRO'

Excellent for bass and subwoofer lovers. A little too  opaque for lovers of transparent sounding headphones. Booming, warm and reverberations but not overpowering to muffle the lyrics. By using a DAC and head amp, I adjusted the equalizer to give me a really pleasing effect with indie rock songs...

Review by 'Chiek' on item 'Shure SE215'

I am a big Shure fan given my sweet  experience  with SRH940 and SRH1840 for indoor use. Being an avid mountain biker conscientious of safety (hence a helmet is obligatory), I need a pair of good IEH to pipe in pleasing music that stay secure while I navigate those bumpy trails in the forest. I...

Best IEH for showtunes and musical theather music (With a budget around $150)?

I have both  Etymotic Research HF5 & Shure SE215   I love them both. They are not base heavy and extremely well balanced for acoustic type music like movie sound tracks with lush string instrumentation. Both are excellent for music on the go as they fit very securely. Sudden jolts of...

Review by 'Chiek' on item 'Sennheiser MOMENTUM In-Ear'

The base stands out immediately. Not overpowering but complementary to the treble to produce an immensely warm and full bodied feeling. I test drove this pair of gems on Travis´ Side. The music resonated and enveloped me and led me into a drunken state of bliss. I praise Sennheiser for making...

No I have not. Even if Momentum 2.0 fit your ears, they are also twice the price of Sony. But if you have the extra cash, why not?

Sony will fot your ears like a grove. Test drive them to be sure. I find them so comfortable that I can fall asleep in them. The othe headphones for large ears that I like are AKG 551.

Actually I prefer Sony ex650 now because of its slightly richer bass. Yes it is dangerous if traffic conditions are bad because cars don't care about cyclist. The noise isolation is outstanding with Etymotic. Still my fav for classical music.
