I have tried EQ but it is hit and miss.  I like a lot of different music (on shuffle) so unless I adjust for each track it does not work out very well. Most jazz and bluegrass of folk sounds fantastic but punk, funk and rock are another story. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks.  I had read several mentions of break-in but nothing about improved bass.  I will try this.
