Speaker question
Hey. Thanks for your answer. As it's been a while since you got them are you aware of any newer models available that could be worth considering? Or is it still worth going for the set you got? Also, would you know how they compare to the 2.0 speakers from Edifier? Something like S1000DB...- czajunia

Obscure Chinese DAPs
Thanks. I did mention though that I would like to get a replacement similar in price. Which means roughy up to $40 / £30. Yes, that's an obvious recommendation if the budget is a bit bigger. I thought about Sahnling M0 or Fiio M5 initially, leaning towards M5 - I prefer buttons on M5 and the...- czajunia

FiiO FH1s-Knowles 33518 Balanced Armature,Balanced pressure relief technology,Friendly HiFi tuning for popular music
Yeah, I've heard that that E3000 is warm but also that not overwhelmingly so. :-) That's why I thought they would suit me OK. It's hard to judge just by reading the reviews without actually listening as everyone has slightly different preferences. Put it that way, I don't mind when phones lean...- czajunia

FiiO FH1s-Knowles 33518 Balanced Armature,Balanced pressure relief technology,Friendly HiFi tuning for popular music
Thanks for your input. I am personally leaning towards E3000 at the moment as after doing some research and reading the reviews concluded they are probably best sounding phones under $100. I thought that FH1s could be better as apparently they are very competitively priced. As it turns out...- czajunia

Obscure Chinese DAPs
Can anyone recommend a replacement for Sansa Clip with bluetooth? By replacement I mean similar in size/weight and price. I wanted to get SanDisk Clip Sport Plus initially but after reading quite a few disappointing reviews and also due to the fact that the sound quality is not there any more...- czajunia

How do they compare to the Zero Audio Carbo Tenore and Final Audio E3000? I would imagine they should sound much better but since they kinda belong to the same price bracket I was wondering how was the sound quality among the three. Many thanks.- czajunia

Speaker question
Hey, just come across your thread. Quite an interesting outcome at the end. Do you mind sharing which speaker set you went for as I don't believe this has been mentioned. Are still happy with the performance or have you moved to something else in the meantime? Cheers.- czajunia

LG G8 ThinQ
I see. Thanks. So that one's off the list. It's a bit of a shame as it's widely available in EU. I suppose G8, G8x and V50 should have very similar sound quality with just subtle nuances differentiating them.- czajunia

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
I am sorry if this has been answered before but somehow I couldn't find any information. When browsing through some stuff one ebay I came across these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beyerdynamic-DT990-Pro-Studio-Headphones/143449446660 Are they old, discontinued version of the same headphone or...- czajunia

Do you know if the G8s has the same DAC as G8 and only lacks tuning or is it completely different? I keep finding contradicting information on the web. Cheers.- czajunia

FiiO EH3 NC - Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones
Has anyone compared EH3s with Audio-Technica ATH-M50XBT? Talking about sound quality including wired mode (3.5mm). I know that EH3 supports wider range of codecs but I am curious how they compare musically as this is something I can refer to. Obviously, not interested in NC feature. Many thanks.- czajunia

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
Just a quick check. According to the specification the player doesn't support aptX ll (Low Latency) codec at the moment. Is it something that could be implemented in the future FW updates or is the chip not compatible with the codec altogether? And a couple more questions. Since I can get Fiio...- czajunia

Many thanks. Might take you up on this offer if I get the player. I am trying to decide which small-ish player to go for. [FiiO M5] Compact and Versatile Hi-Res Music Player
I noticed that most users usually pair M5 with IEMs which I am not a huge fan of. Can anyone recommend over the ear cans that can be driven by the M5? Realistically, what would be the max impedance of the headphones paired with the player (the manual recommends 16~100Ω)? Is there anything else I...- czajunia
