The Opamp thread
Hi everyone. Is there a page in this topic or somewhere else on headfi where we could fine a side-by-side review of many opamp ? I am thinking OPA6X7, MUSES0X, LME49XXX, AD797 and maybe some V5/5i/6 and other discrete product, all in one go ?- wanted110

Asus Essence One Headphone Amp/DAC (CeBIT 2011)
Just in case someone might be interest I have a A10 pot that I would be willing to send to anyone (preferably in the EU) with a non-Muse edition of this DAC. I previously had a non-Muse edition that had some imbalance because of the B10 pot. I scavenged everything I could from my dead Muse...- wanted110

Asus Essence One Headphone Amp/DAC (CeBIT 2011)
Thanks for your answer. I'm lucky to have no hum on mine. For the rest, guess I'll jump on my probes and test the rails. Saying free of mod was not perfectly exact since I have AD797BR (tuned following the datasheet) as buffer aop. I might try some V5i as well for I have bass-shy headphones...- wanted110

Asus Essence One Headphone Amp/DAC (CeBIT 2011)
Hi raoultrifan, From all these mods, which one would your recommend the most ? I have the Muse Edition, free of mod, but I'm interested in trying, provided there is an audible benefit. Worth it to buy some V5 or V5i ? Regards, wanted.- wanted110

The Xonar Essence STX Q/A, tweaking, impressions thread
The stock muses 8920 look to be good, so i don't know if try some other amp will improve the sound quality to you. But, if you want to test some good amp, start with AD797BR (take a goodlook at the datasheet, there are capacitors to add, between 2-6 and 6-8 if i remember).- wanted110

ASUS Xonar Essence ST and sennheiser HD 800
A Xonar ST with good amp like 2xLME49720HA or 4xAD797BR for exemple (check Xonar STX modding impression thread) don't have to be changed for some Audio-GD. You can also change the TCXO, to close the debate and not spend hundreds of dollars for no gain.- wanted110

The Xonar Essence STX Q/A, tweaking, impressions thread
You can cut the 8 legs to make it shorter without any problem. Look at google image for LME49720HA and you will see one very short cutted on a STX socket.- wanted110
