What's a good very available set of tubes for my DarkVoice. Have HD800S that I use with the amp. So I guess good bass character would be the focus. But I am not looking for an in depth search, just an off the shelf improvement - if possible.

Wondering which headphone people would buy that has a little thump but retains audio quality in the $3-4 ,000 range. Should be a good all-a-rounder. Right now I am thinking Meze Empyrean or LCD-4z. Any assistance and experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, john

Well, now I am running the Chord TT2 and love it. Definite difference from the Topping and the HDV820. This is what I was looking for; very impressed with the TT2. I feel it is an excellent match for the HD800s. Of course I have other headphones as well.
