I'm surprised that the ear pads return to shape instantly? They're memory foam aren't they? The pads on the Focal Clear would slowly return to shape.

Everything I've read about the Utopia is that it's one of the best balanced headphones. All I'm getting is a hot trebly mess, no bass. I'm using Hugo 2 with or without Graham Slee Solo Ultra Linear. Music is anything I've tried, rock, pop, jazz, classical.

When I say a knock off pair, I mean a knock off pair of ear pads, I don't doubt the headphone itself is authentic. Just to clarify.

Apologies if this has been covered already, but it's a big thread! I've just picked up a used original Utopia. What's the consensus with replacement ear pads? Are the ones currently being sold only suitable for the 2022 version, or do they use the same pads?

Having read through this whole thread, I'm surprised there's only been one mention of Audiophile Ninja cables. The Focal Clear crowd swear by them. Excellent hand made cables for a reasonable price 👍
