It is just a tactile difference. I use cheap cable with my Fan 2. I didn't like the stock cable because it's big and heavy. I use one from moondrop Starfield. Don't go the cable route - it is a waste of money. For sound difference ... use EQ, or change headphones.- torta

 You will never know ... unless you do a double blind test. Which, I guess - with IEMs - is near to impossible. I never know myself either.- torta

Hello, I have acquired a Fan 2, and I find it useful. It lacks a few db of bass for me, but for classical is much better then Starfield - where I came from. However it is quite big and heavy. I was looking at Sennheisser ie200. Does anybody have experience with both, and could share a few lines...- torta

Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
Hi, I I have an upgrade question. I have moondrop Starfield. For me there is unpleasant upper mid glare- something akin to grating sound with violin strings for instance. I am looking something without that and possibly a bit more bass, or maybe smoother treble. Up to 170$, and not necessary...- torta

Hm, what does “warm” mean generaly? Lifted bass? Mele has very similar FR to Starfield … just lifted bass? Have been thinking about timeless ... but again FR shows lifted treble. But I get it ... it is all relative and all impressions are subjective. Unfortunately I can't try before but :)- torta

Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread
Hi, I have Starfield and want to upgrade ... up to 300$. I have mixed feelings about Starfield though. To my ears they sound a bit bright at times. I would like a set with less treble (sometimes I EQ them with treble shelf around 5k and lover there about -3db) - or at least smoother. Any...- torta

Well, yes ... Starfield became tolerable after a week, but still seems heavy after a while. I much prefer Shure 215 for that matter. I guess it's 2 grams vs 9 grams (not sure about that). Can you use Tri i3 with mobile or tablet?- torta

Thank you for your input. What about some sibilance mentioned in a few reviews? There are also prominent peaks in 8k region on FR graphs? I have thought about these. These are lighter compared to Starfield - that is plus. This one also has peak in 8k region? This one is interesting. It looks...- torta

Hello everybody, I need advice. I got Moondrop Starfield recently and I don't like it very much. But it is good as a point of reference for next purchase. I would very much appreciate any recommendation based on my comments. I would like to add a few db in bass, also db or two in mid bass. I...- torta

Thanks for all suggestions. Hm, reading this I pulled biggest shure silicon tips (from 215) over Starfield (hardly). Shure 215 has 2mm nozzle (I guess) and is very comfortable one for me: ... it made a bass muddier and bloated. I guess treble was also a bit darker, but cymbals are still to...- torta

I did read it and could be that I miss-understood it, but please don't make assumptions - that I want the last word - that is just rude. I am always open for debate. Debates also include misunderstandings, and explanations ... etc. If this one bores you ... OK lets finish it ... nicely, but not...- torta
