I know hart audio is making them, also any custom cable maker should be able to make one as long as you provide the pinout.- Auxine

Monolith M1570 Over Ear Open Back Balanced Planar Headphones
Max settings, yeah I was one of those two. It sounded good(on par with LCD2, with a slightly bigger soundstage), but if I had to replace the headband and make a custom cable like I was eventually going to do if i kept it. I decided I might as well get a used lcd2 ready to go for around $500 and...- Auxine

Monolith M1570 Over Ear Open Back Balanced Planar Headphones
I ended up returning my pair, I was annoyed with the lack of a cable and the headband being a bit loose. I decided that If I could get a used LCD2(which is very similar sound wise) for 500 Ish dollars with a balanced cable and without a need to replace the headband that would be the better way...- Auxine

Upon further inspection, I couldnt help but notice the stock pads cover some parts of the fazor/waveguides of the M1570 (2 rows towards the back of the headphone and 1 row towards the front) Ive ordered some pads with wider openings like the brainwavz XL pads and dekoni th900 pads to see if this...- Auxine

Just got a SMSL Sp200, still unable to distort the low end at high power. EDIT: Nevermind, preamp was at -6DB, I was able to distort setting it to 0db) It was definitely in excess of anyone's listening levels though.- Auxine

I dont think the driver died, but the wire to the driver looked pretty deceased! I was suprised to see like AWG30 Wire in a headphone a bunch of people says they run 20W+ into. Unfortunately didn't trust myself to take apart a planar assembly to rewire em'- Auxine

I added a big bass shelf on my equalizer and ran the volume super high with the m1570s to see if I could get them to distort and still wasnt able to. The THX 788 is no slouch on single ended power, but I imagine that story would change on a stronger amp.- Auxine

I loved the HE6SE on a THX788 w/ the oratory EQ. But yeah I killed my HE6SE by not checking the gain setting on the speaker amp I wanted to test on because Im a dummy. The HE6SE measurements say there should be no difference other than volume, but I wanted to try and hear the "magic" people...- Auxine

Pads attach over a lip like most other headphones, it kind of irked me when the m1060/1060C copied one of the worst characteristics of audeze.- Auxine

May be a keeper, i still want to listen more and try them balanced etc... the velour pads seem to bring the vocals forward and lessen the soundstage/imaging accuracy.- Auxine
