Auditory perception training
I play in a band which usually provides its own live sound. Hope do do some amateur recording in the coming 12 months too. Can anyone recommend any good auditory perception training programs for musicians and sound engineers? Don't wish to spend more than $1,000 USD per year if I can help it...- pibroch

Please help me get computer to recognise DAC
For some unknown reason my Mac Mini has recently stopped recognising my Dangerous Convert-2 DAC. Have tried switching off both devices unplugging power, disconnecting and reconnecting USB cable in various sequences all to no avail. Any ideas welcome.- pibroch

Any good links to explain how digital converters work?
On the Dedicated Source Components forum someone is claiming that in a D/A converter the character of the sound is mainly due to the particular model of dac chip used. They say this is because the chip is the component that is actually rendering the waveform. They agreed that (in their words)...- pibroch

Major non-linear frequency response with new dac !!!
I want to know if I got a faulty unit without having to send it back to the factory which is the other side of the world. I want it independently tested using best practice. In seeking out an audio engineer to do the job what should I look for please?- pibroch

Split analog dac output to add a sub?
Newbie here. My dac has only one stereo set of analog outs (balanced) and I want to add an active sub. (Not using a separate preamp - currently running straight into a pair of active speakers.) Was thinking of getting an active splitter. What do you guys think? I don’t want to audibly degrade...- pibroch
