exFAT on microSD cards IIRC. Compression 8 works for me on all my files. BTW don't try to format the internal memory, there were lots of recports that it permanently corrupts things.- _gl

Yeah, manufacturers typically only list the largest available card at product launch (I guess to minimise confusion when people try to find not-yet-available card sizes).- _gl

Hey everyone. S'been a while, and I haven't really lived in IEM land until recently when I started gigging again, and needed some decent in-ears for the stage. Got some good advice in another thread and ended up with the Mee Audio M6 Pro (2nd gen), which do what I need (balanced & clear...- _gl

.. oh, and I just realised I might be able to use EQ after all. I can see another correction coming on (see my sig). Hey you can always make things better right (and I'm a control freak :)).- _gl

OK, so I got the Mee Audio M6 Pro 2nd gen's (clear version) from Amazon UK. Problem was that _none_ of the included tips gave me a proper seal, including the Comply ones. I must have unusual ear canals. In fairness I needed aftermarket ones for the Easy UES too, and that has a larger nozzle...- _gl

That's pretty sweet. In general, wouldn't it be nice if all the people did that for wanting to do the right thing? And not just because they were afraid of the consequences (court or worse)?- _gl

I've have OK computer and like much of it, but after that they lost me. I haven't heard that much later stuff, but what I did hear did seem a bit indulgent/whiney. Anyway that track is really good. So I bought the clear M6Pro gen2 from Amazon (£35) and will have it tomorrow, I'll report back...- _gl

Cool tracks you guys post. I haven't heard that Thom Yorke one before, I'm kind of not into the recent Radiohead stuff or him, but I really like that one. Intergalactic is ace, when it came out back in the day I didn't get it at all, but I do now. Another dimension. As for headphone...- _gl

Thanks guys, I'll research the ones you've mentioned tomorrow. I'm in the UK. I could squeeze up to £100-ish (~$130 US) for really good ones, but if there's a 'does the job' cheap one, even better. Stage use isn't really that different for me, isolation has to be decent, not necessarily...- _gl

Budget is flexible (it has to be good enough for the job), but ideally under $60. More if needed though. Yeah Chi-fi is fine, that's how I bought the Easy UES. The problem was I was hanging out here at the time (but not for a while), and there was tons of hype and not enough critical...- _gl

Unfortunately too expensive for my no-budget tastes. And I don't know if I could take such a deep driver. But they review well. Any more at the lower end?- _gl

Hey Head-fi smarties. I need some advice from the best again. _All_ my cans came recommended here. I'm after cheap, reasonably flat, resonance-free fairly isolating in-ears (I already have a range of good fitting tips though). These are for stage/band use. A year or so ago I was considering...- _gl

HD600: My custom bass extension curves.
Cool. Just a reminder for anybody using GlissEQ for EQ correction (or messing with my presets) - Gliss is a 'dynamic' EQ. That means that a node's equalisation can change depending on the volume in that frequency region. That's very powerful for mixing, but probably not what you want for EQ...- _gl

I'm not aware of harmonic distortion from EQ'ing (but I might just not know about it). What I am aware of is phase distortion from minimum-phase EQs, which are used in my correction impulses (this is the same as analogue EQs however, but neither is 'lossless' as such), or pre-ringing artifacts...- _gl

HD600: My custom bass extension curves.
Hey markob, ok so the reason for the volume drop is that there is such a large bass boost. Without the drop, it can cause loud audio to overload (distort), especially when there's bass going on, because the overall level of the track goes up in the bass.. So the volume drop tries to guard...- _gl

Nothing on Ebay AU, or elsewhere that will ship to you? I still love mine, I've been using it for some time now with my DIY balance-modded Koss KSC-75's, and it just rocks. Little niggles here and there with the interface, screen etc, but just sounds great.- _gl

You're welcome. I'm just mixing a track that has a really low bassdrum. I always use Curve 4, and just tried turning it off - it lost all its (correct) impact. Guess it works :).- _gl

Hey guys, haven't been back here for some time, and it looks like the forum software has changed and all the attachments got trashed?? I tried re-upping them to the 1st post, but there seems to be no way to actually have them show up on it, or inline them like before - anyone know how that...- _gl

Yes quite possible. >> Also the other caching bug referenced was a capitalization issue for an Artist or Album, I can't remember; so changing from all caps to title caps was not sticking, but again something you could see slipping through the caching cracks. Yep, they might be...- _gl
