The coiled cord gets annoying sometimes, especially when walking around. They are a bit heavy and weigh down on the ipod. I also like the sound of my hd280's, but comfort may be a factor if you are going to be listening for long periods of time. Also, they are great isolating headphones.- hockaiser

I just measured the opening of the wax sleeve for my wax guard. It is 5mm so i assume it will fit in yours as well.- hockaiser
