Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

I have tried my Klipsch 96db rated speakers via XLR on low gain and kept getting an overheating warning onTT2. No issues with high gain. I suspect that they are a fair bit less sensitive than 96db but even so only high gain was enough juice. For headphones I prefer high gain with my LCD-4 and...

Mconnect is the best IMO. I did use glider for a while but it hasn't been updated for a while and is now a bit buggy

I would suggest listening to both side by side with the Stellias and then deciding if the extra cash for the TT2 is worth it in your opinion. It was when I did this exact same thing, didn't take very long to decide either!

I'm using these direct via XLR from TT2 and they sound great, I bought them as a cheapish way to see how well it drives speakers in the hope of moving on to some Omega SAM/CAM +sub but am so happy with the sound of these Klipsch that I am sticking with them for now. They are efficient speakers...

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

I have been driving my Klipsch RP600-M direct from my TT2 for a while now and at 96db it does so with ease, I have also driven some less sensitive 90db 4ohm speakers with great success as well. So with the Cornwall at over 100db the TT2 should drive these with absolutely no problem at all...

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

I've been using my TT2 driving some Klipsch RP600M via XLR balanced and it does so with ease and they sound fantastic, it gets warm if I drive them hard but with volume at -10H (high gain) they are getting very loud at this point. I know some people hear Klipsch speakers as being a bit bright...

Thanks I have read that the Omegas work very well with the TT2. As for location I am located in Southampton (south coast UK) and the only Omega dealer in UK is over 3hrs drive away.

Hi All, i'm currently using my TT2 to directly drive my 15 year old set of speakers (sens 90db 4Ohm) and it does very well. I am though looking to replace the old speakers with something better and wondered if anybody could give me there experience of TT2 driving other types of speaker. I'm...

After easily updating to 1.0.41 I've tried updating many many times to update to v2.0 sometimes waiting a couple of hours and still it won't update. In fact now when I restart Poly it starts the update (slowly changing lights) before I even go and open Go Figure and press the V2.0 Update...

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread

Hi, does anyone know if it’s ok to drive 4ohm speakers direct from TT2s balanced XLRs. I’ve been driving mine for a couple weeks (90db 4ohm) but am aware some amps don’t like to drive speakers below 8ohms. TT2 doesn’t seem to struggle or get too warm but don’t want to be doing damage without...

Hi all, can anyone help please. I'm trying to source some cheap balanced XLR to speaker (banana plug) cables to drive my speakers direct from TT2. I'm based in the UK and don't have the skills/time to build my own or the money to invest in some expensive custom made ones. I just want...

I have TT2 and LCD4 and it drives them easily from headphone out. It’s the best I’ve ever heard my LCD4 sound. Finally hearing what they are capable of. Used to have Hugo2 which was ok but clearly lacking a bit of power, TT2 is a huge improvement in every way.

I believe Jude posted a video about the TT2 and he stated that he preferred the Susvara straight from the TT2 over the Dave and it was the best he had ever heard the Susvara sound.

    Audeze LCD-4

I'd be interested to hear which you deem to be the best combination with the LCD4's between the Hguo2/Mscaler or just the TT2 when you receive it. I have some LCD4s driven by a Hugo2 and would like to upgrade but am not sure if adding the MScaler would be better than just getting the TT2? I...

I don’t think it’s an M-Scaler I think it maybe Rob’s Analogue to Digital Converter called DAVINA. Does look suspiciously Hugo TT size though so maybe I’m wrong!!

The FPGA in the Blu mkII mScaler draws 10amps current so I imagine we are some way from a portable mScaler unless FPGA tech advances somewhat. A stand-alone desktop mScaler could be a possibility though I guess.

    Audeze LCD-4z - Impressions Thread

I contacted Audeze support about the possibility of changing my 200 Ohm drivers for the new 15 ohm ones and was told very politely that they have no plans for an upgrade program form 4 to 4z drivers. I hope their use of the word 'upgrade' does not imply they feel the new drivers are superior...

I use Audeze LCD-4. After testing most of the totl cans I found the Utopia to bright. I really liked the Clears though. If my budget was in that range I would have been very happy with them.
