Quote: Okay, found it. This is the original thread in which listrid (the author) actually comments. It is in Russian so use google translate. A post with download links + some info (in Russian) http://forum.doctorhead.ru/index.php?showtopic=17303&st=1100#entry524085 The...- DarkSkies

Hey guys, where exactly did you download Listrid 2.0 firmware? I noticed some dropbox link. Is that it? Thanks for help. Would be nice to have a direct link from the author from his/her forum.- DarkSkies

Quote: This is correct EU directive 99/44/EC (which e.g. Germany adopted in full, so did other counties, Austria, Poland, Denmark and so on...) also protects the consumer from falsely advertise electronics. You would have to sue AK or iriver in a civil court, though.- DarkSkies

1299 USD and 1499 EUR respectively. This wouldn't be surprising at all. European prices get more ridiculous every year. They are supposed to sign this US-EU free traded agreement "possibly soon enough". I hope this indeed goes through.- DarkSkies

Any more in depth comparison between AK120 and RWAK100? I couldn't care less for stock AK100. There are indeed moments with particular albums when RWAK100 gets a bit 'nasal' with soundstage. If indeed AK120 grants more 'air', then I am interested. Owning both would be nice. I'd secure my...- DarkSkies

Wolfson specs clearly state that WM8740 does not support DSD. 8741 and 8742 do: http://www.wolfsonmicro.com/products/dacs/- DarkSkies

Hello JmoonAK. Since A&K official support is here, I've got a feature request: please make it so that cover images are also read from separate .jpg or .png files placed in albums' folders, following some filenaming pattern, e.g. cover.jpg or album.jpg. Implementing this should not be a problem...- DarkSkies

Quote: What he said, especially as better IEMs become much more revealing of how lacking source's SQ is which they are plugged into. Get RWAK100 for $950 and keep on saving for a pair of proper cims like JH 13/16 Pro. UE700 from your desc. aren't so bad and you can use them for a while...- DarkSkies

NEWS: Meridian Releases The Explorer Pocket-Sized USB DAC
Quote: Asking a manufacturer which of their local supposedly authorized resellers can possibly sell a version of their product is "asking for a lot of support", especially as they supposedly dedicate a specialized branch of their company just to provide such information (as they...- DarkSkies

Quote: Oh, don't worry, I know how to do it, just I don't want to. This is the first thing I don't like about this device. It should be able to read png and jpeg images from separate files and I don't understand why it can't do that already by default. If one keeps bigger collections of...- DarkSkies

I am glad the a bit loose knob is simply supposed to be like that and my unit is not damaged. It being this ways actually gives more control and accuracy re sound volume. Now, can somebody kindly tell me how album art files should named so the player can actually read them? I've got almost...- DarkSkies

Received my RAWK100 just today. Everything seemed fine so far except for the volume knob that seems a bit loose. It rattles a bit when the device is shaken. Is this what you guys have too?- DarkSkies

NEWS: Meridian Releases The Explorer Pocket-Sized USB DAC
Yes, contact with the explorer@ official address is terrible. They answer to every third message sent to them in a way that does not bring anything to the table. I wanted to find out how to order the revised version of Explorer where I live. I was told twice that local dealership will...- DarkSkies
