Do these let all the exterior noise pass right through into your ears? Or would they isolate the noise a bit? I'll want to wear these in environments where there is quite a bit of background noise, such as the bus or in school where a lot of people would be talking.  I've been looking into...

Would you say that these isolate the sound well? Sort of like the Sennheiser PX200 II are supposed to? I'm looking for headphones that I can wear on the bus, or in loud places in school.

Ok, I've also come across Sennheiser px200 II.  They are 50$ at the moment.  I'm wondering whether the price difference between those and JVC S400 or others are worth it. What do you think?
