Advanced Sound Model 3 Impressions Thread
I love my M4s, and these are also piquing my interest. They sound sonically like a slightly brighter SE215, and considering that the treble is the only part of the 215s I consider weak to any degree these might be right up my alley. Not that I'm looking to replace my 215s, but if something's...- gopats1479

ADV.Sound M4
I posted quite a lengthy review on the Kickstarter page, but long story short, these are fantastic. No regrets at all. Incredibly addictive sound signature that, although it lacks any bass emphasis (I find a little goes a long way), keeps me coming back for more because of its detail and ability...- gopats1479

Monster NCredible N-Ergy Impressions
The first thing I thought of was to check the equalizer and make sure it's either flat or off. None of the Apple products I have are exceptionally bassy, so that's what I think your problem is.- gopats1479

Monster NCredible N-Ergy Impressions
Just to pitch in a little, as someone who has used the Nergys for over a year now, I don't pick them because they're accurate or because they have a nice, warm midrange. I pick them on a regular basis because they're fun. Granted, they're about to move back in my rotation because I'm picking up...- gopats1479

Do they sound the same? I've been wondering about this myself, as my Nergys are beginning to show some wear and tear.- gopats1479

@thatBeatsguy They do allow for a deeper seal. I guess what I meant is less in depth and more in width. I use the small tips now and over-the-ear. Love it.- gopats1479

Review by 'gopats1479' on item 'NCredible NErgy In-Ear Headphones by Monster®'
Accessories: three pairs of silicone eartips, Ncredible sticker, shirt clip. From Monster, I expect more. No carrying case? Really? Build Quality/Design: Pretty decent on both points. L-shaped jack is low-profile and decently relieved as well. Housings have no strain relief but are durable...- gopats1479

Monster NCredible N-Ergy Impressions
Yeah, these are good out of the box and perfect with that tape mod. Very lively sound with strong but not muddying bass. That sounds oddly familiar from a Monster IEM set... There are some downsides to modding though. You'll get a decent amount of driver flex that is very sensitive to insertion...- gopats1479

Monster NCredible N-Ergy Impressions
Just got these tonight and was highly impressed out of the box. Bright but full, crisp but not harsh. Those are hard lines to straddle for me, and they did so perfectly. Then I did that tape mod, and...well, they are nearly perfect for me now! Bass filled out a lot, mids too. Highs are...- gopats1479

Looking for IEMs for Bassheads
Don't have personal experience with any of these, but I would steer clear of the S4 and the UE 600. The S4, from what I've heard, is very similar-sounding to the S3 that I have. They are thin, cold, and harsh in their sound. Build was respectable though. If you want Klipsch, I've seen some good...- gopats1479

Review by 'gopats1479' on item 'Philips SHE3590BK/10 In-Ear Headphones (Black)'
Accessories: Three sizes of single-flange silicone eartips. Build Quality/Design: This is probably the only part of these IEMs that feels like it belongs at the price point. The housings are entirely plastic and don't feel extremely durable but not extremely fragile either. Little driver flex...- gopats1479

Review by 'gopats1479' on item 'Ultimate Ears UE4000 Headphones'
Accessories: Includes a pouch and cable. Pouch is well-built, compact, and stylish. Soft, flexible cable has never tangled for me in my time with it. Right angled jack is durable and well-relieved. Remote is a little plasticky, but works well. Build Quality/Design: Absolutely fantastic at...- gopats1479

Looking for $50 headphones.
I disagree with your "very." Enhanced bass, yes. Bloated bass, no. It has a warm tilt that rolls off the highs in a very pleasing way to avoid sibilance or harshness. I also felt that the mids were very natural. There is a slightly added body to lower strings, which I feel enhances orchestral...- gopats1479

Looking for $50 headphones.
I recommend the Logitech UE 4000. They have an MSRP of $99 but are now regularly found from $30 to $50. Absolutely fantastic sound, incredibly comfortable for on-ears, fairly good isolation. I don't know what its availability is like in Canada but they're good for the original list price and an...- gopats1479

the best for my buck
There's not a whole lot out there with noise cancelling in that price range. If you're willing to spend $20 more, the Logitech UE 6000 are a phenomenal set that sounds great and has noise cancelling (it's not great though). It also lets you keep listening when your batteries die or turn off the...- gopats1479

Looking for IEMs for Bassheads
I'm going to suggest the Sol Republic Jax. I know from reading a lot that Sol isn't thought of the best around here, but the Jax have excellent bass response. Not overwhelming and excessively bloated, but with decent clarity and good extension. It adds some body to the lower mids that can...- gopats1479

Review by 'gopats1479' on item 'Skullcandy S2TTBZ-BZ Titan Earbuds, (Black)'
I bought these because my Philips O'Neill set had a fatal cable flaw after seeing them several times at my local TJ Maxx. Here's my review of them: Design and Comfort The Titans have a metal housing that is fairly durable, but also heavy. That is the first flaw of the housing: it...- gopats1479
