It's plastic. Can I really bend plastic like that?

I've had the Superlux HD668B for about a week now. I've had it on some books every night + about 6 hours in the day, but to no avail. What can I do to make them less tight?

I've just noticed that with delivery it's £21! That's a bit too expensive. Are those Chinese ones just as good?

I got the headphones yesterday, after about 15 minutes of wearing them my ear lobes start to hurt and after about 40 I must take them off. So it seems I need new ear pads. Which ones are the most comfortable and soft?   Also is there any way to make the stock ones any softer/ more comfortable...
