Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Did you test the mic at all? How's call/meeting quality? Thanks.

I'll take any unit you're able to measure! I can use my calipers here on the Solaris and then compare. I've checked online and can't find it in the published Fokus specs anywhere. Thank you!

Any chance you know (or could measure) the bore width on the Mystiques? Trying to compare to Solaris to see if they'll hurt my ear canals. Thanks!

Looks like bloomaudio is the only webstore with stock at the moment (I didn't look THAT hard tho). They have a restocking fee though, so if they don't fit me I'm looking to lose 10%. I should have grabbed when Audio 46 still had stock!

Dammit musta missed that. No pain from those tips? I'll give that a try.

I think I've read everything up to date, but no one ever responded to this bit, did they? This is the only thing holding me back at this point.

I've been rocking Solaris with the Shure adapters...I wonder if I should just try that for a Zoom call and see how the audio is...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Ah. I can get a good snug fit that stays put, but the wide bore just hurts after a while. No pain no gain? Man that's a bad audio pun...I'll see myself out...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

This is the same problem I have. I've been suffering with the wide bores on Solaris for years now because I love the sound. But I can't handle long listening sessions with them for that reason. Sigh...

How's the call/mic quality on the Mystique?

Seriously though, I'm tempted by the ZE8000...I might have to bite the bullet and try them lightly and return them if I'm not happy.

Hrm, thanks for the info. I suspect that I am not a young metalhead either at 43, but I do listen almost exclusively to metal, including lots of new stuff. Still searching for the dream TWS for my tastes.

Interesting. Using some cheap buds from Amazon (I think I have the Tozo T12), no one complains about my audio quality on Zoom/Teams/etc., and I hear everyone just fine too. And I typically only use one at a time, because having both in feels weird since I can't hear my own voice. And they...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Thanks. I was looking at the Mystique as well. I was concerned there about the wide bore being uncomfortable, and I also need the option to use these for calls and Zoom and the like, and the Mystique didn't seem to score as highly in that department. I'll check out the Nuratrue too, thanks.

Thanks, I had seen that and appreciated all the time spent and detail shared. I guess they're still new enough that there aren't many reviews out there. I was particularly struck by your comments on how faster sections can get muddy quickly. I mostly listen to faster-paced heavy music, mostly...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Anyone have a pair of the ZE8000 and care to comment? Been through the thread here and seen the few reviews out there, including one in Japanese (with subtitles), but hoping for some more opinions here as well. Thanks!

For ambient! That's the only reason, right? As for my continuing experience with Solaris+TW2: Getting BT lag with YT videos which is exceptionally annoying. Haven't tried a zoom meeting yet but concerned about lag there, will have to report back. The 846 is more than enough power for the...

    Campfire - Solaris

That's largely why I went with the TW2. Will be interested to hear about head to head comparisons once that's implemented.

There's no ambient on the UTWS5 right now is there? I must say I'm enjoying that very much on the TW2.

So actual comments on Solaris + TW2: Fit: The Solaris lines up well with the TW2's contours and fits my smallish ears pretty well, no complaints there, although I'll need a much longer listening session to speak to this one. Ambient: I love this already. At high volume it's still not great...

    Campfire - Solaris

Perhaps a slightly smaller soundstage compared to wired with DUNU Blanche. And with ambient on everything feels a little more pinched? But it's still Solaris. And while my experience is SUPER limited so far--I JUST opened these things up within the hour--I'm already liking the tradeoff for...

    Campfire - Solaris

Shure TW2. I cannot believe how amazing this feels. I know I'm late to the TWS party, but Solaris without wires AND with ambient mode so I can hear my wife talking to me while I work? It's like a dream come true. And I haven't even messed with anything yet...I literally opened the TW2 box...
