Poll for Fiio X3 Sound Signature
Tested with Shure 840 and Westone 4R. Warm. Not bright but did not roll off like hm601. Mids (vocals) feels somewhat forward (slightly). A very small bass boost, not heavy at all.- Calbert

These ones are designed for and targeted at computer users and for streaming music from a certain fruit company which makes things that only look good(for some people only). The price of $800 (you can find them for cheaper, like anything else) is intimidating for the average PC user but...- Calbert

I found a shop near where I live with both the O2 combo and the grace 903 in stock, they have a few other DAC/AMP as well so I'll go there and see if they will let me try them. I think the O2 should give me what I want for now.- Calbert

Hi, I am rather new to this. I have bough a pair of Shure SRH 840 about a month ago, and found them to provide major improvements over my old Sony IEMs(which were rather old ~5 yrs and cost about $60). I really liked how the 840s present the music, my old Sony ones are on the bass...- Calbert
