Just got myself a nice new laptop running Windows 8.1.  It has all USB 3.0 ports.  When I try and connect the Ak120 it gives an error 43 message and won't connect.  Is this a know problem and is there any way to fix/bypass this? 

I own both and much prefer the 900's. Better fit, more detailed and better clarity.

better bass response I believe. I love my MDR-1R but they could do with a bit more bite in the low end

I've had no problems at all with my UE900's , Love them to bits.  I use a Chris Himself custom sliver cable with them. I had a set of the Klipsch x10's previously and although the fit and sound were good the very thin non-removable cable broke at the eartip after only 10 months ( bought abroad...

+1 for the Sony MDR-1R. Very smooth and clear headphones and extremely comfortable to wear

+1 for Chris_himself cables.  I got the silver occ with oyaide plug just over a week ago for my UE900's and i'm amazed at the clarity and detail. Tighter bass great mids and a crisp top end.
