Pluged them exactly as you did in the pic. Interesting... so Gryphon can drive them good. Yeah I have the updated firmware and it shows me different without - and dbs. I may go again and listen Arya maybe those pair had something weird... Thx for the quick check !

Yes 3rd revision. Didnt bought them. I took my Gryphon and Edition XS to the local Audio store and tried their demo Arya pair. And it was for sure the Stealth Edition. I was trying to see if Arya makes sense and it will be a clear upgrade to my Edition XS using Gryphon.

No no I am using the same balanced cable 4.4 with both headphones. No 3.5 at all.

It may be that I used the Edition XS balanced cable ? But it sounds perfect with edition XS.... other than this I dont know... but it sounded reallly underpowered the bass was lacking... like a hugeeee difference between the 2 headphones...

Hi folks, did some of you tried Gryphon with Hifiman Edition XS and Arya Stealth? I manage to drive Edition XS superbly (max volume on Gryphon around 87 not to get it too loud) but with Arya Stealth even at louder volumes ~95 seems dull and underpowered... is Arya to hard to drive from Gryphon ?

Hello folks ! I bought recently this headphones Sennheiser Unipolar 2000 + HER 2000 and got some troubles with HER 2000 unit. The loudspeakers/headphones selector doesnt seem to stay pressed. It is buton 7 from manual. I connected HER 2000 to the amp and I can hear sound into the cans but only...

I tested all units with the same 4.4 balanced cable + one of the stock cables 6.3. I heard the same results. I posted this experience here hoping that some other folks will have the ocasion to test multiple units and can share their thoughts here.

And yeah one of them sounded really warm compared to the others. Anyways this is just a notice that we all may have different experiences with the Edition XS... Hopefully the reviewers got a tested/calibrated sample. Otherwise they shouldve tested at least 2-3 samples to be sure.

Just took them out of new boxes. All stock pads... I had this chance because I wanted to buy 4 pairs for me and my friends. We had Black Friday discounts. But because of this differences I only bought 2.

All brand new. I even compared it with a 5th one: the testing one they had available for people to try and had some months of usage was decent but not the best of the pairs I tried...

I am asking this because I had the chance to test 4 new Edition XS on the store where I bought a pair and all 4 were different. I tested all 4 on Topping DX3 + pro and after again all 4 pairs on ifi zen stack...

Do you reallly feel any difference between LDAC on Gryphon and usb ? I mean I barely barely feel it and only sometimes. I get that aptx-loseless will be almost on par with usb but I dont think many can tell the difference between LDAC and USB

I have the ifi Zen Dac 2 + Ifi Zen Signature HFM CAN. I cant really say this stack is better than Gryphon... maybe the iDSD micro is next level.

Thx man for your reply ! I totally get it now !!! So charging with screen on only charges it to the 70% of total battery to preserve the life of battery. In order to charge it to 100% I need to charge the Gryphon beeing turned off. If I do that constantly I am not prolonging the battery life...

Exactly It seems I get ~3hours to fully charge it on fast charging. It gets 5hours and 40 minutes to fully discharge it at 87 volume using Hifiman Edition XS via bluetooth LDAC
