Hmm... Yeah I'm definitely looking for super tough headphones. Something I could put anywhere in my backpack and not worry.

I was more referring to the fact that I will be travelling with it, so the bulkiness may be annoying.

Ok, right now the Sony MRD-V6's are looking the best, but the coiled cable seems like it would be a bit of an issue. What do you guys think?

I'm looking for a pair of strong, tough, reliable headphones to use during travel. The imperative is that they are light, and can be stuffed into a backpack/bag easily, as I will be quite rough with them (especially when in a hurry).   I do not want an IEM, as 1; they don't fit in my ears...

Hi guys,   Thanks for all the feedback.   Just to clarify, I do not want to have to use a headphone amp. (Mostly for convenience reasons)

So I currently use a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-770 M's, that have an impedance of 80Ω. I plug them directly into my Macbook Pro (late 2008 model), and I find that instead of being too quiet, I have to stay around the 4/16 volume area on my Macbook as a maximum. (This is with the in-line volume...
