Where did you find a good price for the 272's? Everywhere I look has them priced at $329.95?

The cheapest I can find them for is $329.95 at amazon , while the (nearly) identical 271 mkII's are selling for ~ $150.00. If memory serves, last year the 272's were selling for about $150 as well... has anyone seen that price recently? I was more interested in the 272's because they...

Yeah, use a nice steady pressure to push them in. It can be tight, so when you remove them you may have to wiggle them a little bit. And yup, tubes get hot - just like an incandescent light bulb. So how does it sound!
