Sorry for the bump guys, but I have a question about the grey foam that covers the screws. Obviously I have to peel it off to get to the screws underneath, but will it be sticky enough that I can just throw it back on top when I'm closing them up, or will some sort of glue be required?

So I've been running my new HD439s unamped for the last few days. I'm really liking them, but even after 40+ hours of burn in I feel like the bass could be a little more powerful. Would an amp help? I'm going to try to build a little cMoy here soon, mostly just for the learning experience, but...

Seeing as you live 3 years in the future, I have no idea what cans are available to you. ;) Refurb'd HD439s can be had for $50-60, maybe look at those.
