need a cheap device to record (line in) from amped mic
Minidisc players are very popular for a cheap method of recording audio at good quality. I have an old Sony MZ-N505 model and it has a line-in(can be optical), but the problem may be that it records in ATRAC. You would have to figure out a way to transfer it from mini-disc to Mac. I've had no...- Sybaek

iPhone is Go Go GO!
Mixed feelings about this. I think it's mostly hype. There are many good PDA based phones already out there with established track records, and many more fuctions. One button? C'mon, anyone who's used a PDA knows buttons are essential. Even with buttons on the touchscreen, it will not be as...- Sybaek

upgrade cable for hd595?
Not really. Have to keep in mind that HD595's have a single cable going into the left ear, which makes it much harder to upgrade than say, the HD650 (which has a cable for each ear). -

It's your iPod. I just plugged my SF5P into my iPod (5.5g) headphone jack to check. There is a hiss when there is nothing playing, but when I moved it back to my heaphone amp I hear nothing. So yes. The iPod is the source of the hissing.- Sybaek

What will a 3.7 gpa get you scholarship wise
Dude. Tell mom to chill out. If you apply for enough scholarships, you can get several easy. And if you really have a GPA that good, it should be no problem coupled with extra-cirriculars(sp). I graduated with a 3.69 (nonweighted), not the best GPA in my class, but I graduated 21st out of 358...- Sybaek

college head-fiers: Study tips?
Another note. You should always carry a small folder that has some notes in it. Whenever you have some free time between classes, like an hour or so, pull it out and review for a bit. That adds up after a while. My schedule had 2 or 3 hours gaps on some days. Since I commuted (which takes from...- Sybaek

I thought I was getting a Zune, but Santa brought me a Scooba
Just be glad it wasn't a tie. I'm so tired of getting ties for birthday/christmas from girlfriends. That's such a cop-out gift. If I were you, I'd hack that scooba. Make a personal robot out of it. Scare the dog.- Sybaek
