  You don't actually loose any sound quality when off, that's how they're tuned. Comparison to Bose is really accurate: you can't achieve to get a good sound out of QC25 amped with anything you want (even your NAD rig) if you don't power them on. The exact same thing is valid for 1000x...

I think it's more the cable that makes a difference, instead of dac/amp. I get better sound wired in my Samsung GS7 than Bluetoothed. Better sound wired in my Mac than Bluetoothed, etc. Don't forget that LDAC is still a Bluetooth way to transmit data. Even if it get more , the wired connection...

I'm curious... are your listenings only via Bluetooth? If yes, just try them wired. That makes a HUGE difference. Really!
