As far as i know builds for the 3g ar great, except of the playback.. last build i've tested was from 1 month ago, i tried playing AAC, WMA and MP3 (didnt try loseless) and playback wasnt very good... keep the regular firmware till they'll find out how to make the playback better Yotam.

I really wanna update that old 3rd Gen but i'm joining the army soon...so no point..

We are having a debate in other forum about wich can is better, the Senn Px-100 or the Koss Portapro. There are only 2 factors (duh): Sound Quality and Building Quality. whats your call?

Update: with my new senn PX-100 I need to up the volume to 4/8-6/8 Baterry eating cans....but they sound great!

I saw in headroom that the HD497 got a high rank, well they cost here about 100$ and they look pretty good do they need an amp?

here in Israel this hobby is rather expensive, for example the HD201 cost about 30$ and the SR-60 about 90$ I dont thing that I will but an amp cause this starting to get expensive, but if u say that the 201 are power hungry then i'll consider buying the grade, i saw that the have only 32 ohm...

Hello I have seen in many topics that alot of members say that the HD201 are really good cans in very very low price.. well, I have an ipod and PX-100, and i want pair of cans for listening indoors, will the HD201 be a good choise? are thry better than the PX100? can i even compare thses...

I'm not sure your iPod is dead... I had the same problam with my 3rd gen (crushing computer, blue screen, itunes not responding), and after few re-installing of the ipod software it got fixed.... Take some time and start removing and installing the driver till it's getting back to normal...

Ebay. try buying the largest capicity battery that u can put in the iPod. I've replaced my 3rd gen battery 1 month ago to bigger capicity battery than the original battery and the iPod has about 13 hours of playing.

I just saw in at the rockbox installation instructions that installing the rockbox is avilable via USB only, is that a thing going to be changed? or i'll have to buy a usb cable? (god damn apple prices)

Anyone knows if there will be rockbox for 3rd generation ipods?
