SR60-Mod part II
I was thinking about laser cutting rings out of 1/4 inch mdf and stacking them to firm the cup. Could use 123d make to do the stacking for me. There would be a lot of glue though haha.- savagetuna

SR60-Mod part II
Hey there, I've done a little searching but haven't seen anything come up. Has anyone tried making cups out of mdf? I've seen pvc and the many different wood iterations but not mdf. Seems as though it might be interesting to try since its generally so tonally neutral in speaker boxes.- savagetuna

Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)
Quote: E17 as portable amp is still better than no portable amp lol. My budget currently doesn't quite cover a portable and a desk rig so I got the e17 to use for both- savagetuna

Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)
Rocking my new set up. I'll probably get an LOD eventually but the the E17 is doing just fine without it. Old school U2 ipod video (modded 120gb) > E17 > HD 439s- savagetuna

Quote: I actually just got the HD 439s myself. I have only had them for 2 days now but I really like them. I am running them unamped right now and they are doing quite well. An amp would definitely make a difference. They can run fine off of my mac book pro and with my ipod Classic turned...- savagetuna

Planning some DIY cans, need some advice on drivers
Hi there, I want to retrofit an older pair of Sony MDR XD100 headphones with a better driver. I'd like to use them as just kind of every day/beater headphones that are good quality. I was wondering if anyone knows a good driver and where I can find it. I've heard about these SFI ribbon...- savagetuna
