Thanks for the info. I didn't think of it that way (my reciever is the DAC) and it makes sense. I will check for the guides you mentioned since the last time I tried ASIO with the AV-710 it was a disaster. I'll put the $ towards rear speakers instead!

I'm thinking about getting this card too as an upgrade to my AV-710. In my case my Chaintech is in my HTPC going optical to my reciever. I'd like the EMU connected the same way and using ASIO. Will it do this ok? Am I going to run into problems of any kind?
