no more than 1k. of course, those are relative cheap while with good performance is always preferred. i have very conservative marginal return curve

software EQ is the least thing i would like to use. it is almost equivalent to say "distort all". and q701 is also quite unforgivable. it only makes things even worse. maybe a hardware EQ is a different story. actually i am quite curious how good the little E17 can be. maybe i should find one...
