Yeah the 13" MacBook Pro would've filled the same niche in the market without compromising on features. But I guess they have to keep innovating and pushing the boundaries.

Why not get a better MacBook much cheaper. I really don't see why it is so great. A MacBook is plenty portable enough (will fit in any old bag) and has not compromised severely on features. To me it just seems a ridiculous price for what you're actually getting.

I see your point, and I guess it would be a good product for families with more than one Mac that needs backing up, but I think otherwise people might as well get a normal external.
