Philips SHE3580 IEM review--how can something sound so good for $10???

Quote: It doesn't seem to be just nice sounding for the price, it seems that people think that these 3580's flat out sound better than more expensive Philips iems. It just doesn't make sense to intentionally make your less expensive iems sound better than your more expensive ones.

    The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..

I'm just using an old ipod classic. I did the tape mod too. Sounds like a totally different earphone. I now know what soundstage is. It's that thing that shrinks when you do the tape mod on 8320's.

    The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..

Quote: Hahaha. I try to be a minimalist. I'm not cheap, I just like to spend my money on things that make me happy rather than to waste it on things that do not. I think I get a particularly good seal with the 8320's, so the bass is better for me than what I expected it to be. They are...

    The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..

@DSNUTS,   Wow, 7.9 that seems pretty high. It does seem weird that Joker would compare a 7 dollar product in a favorable light to much more expensive products and not automatically give it a "10" for value. Could you name a couple iems that you think sound better than the 8320's? I plan to...

Philips SHE3580 IEM review--how can something sound so good for $10???

Just got these a couple days ago. 8 bucks shipped (the purple ones on Amazon). The bass is shocking and the overall sound is clear and very pleasant.    How does this happen? I'd bet Philips sells multiple models of iems that cost more than this one, but don't sound as good (especially to...

    The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..

Just got these a few days ago. Nothing new to add, really. They sound great with the medium tips from my Philips SHE 3580's (which I also love--BASS!). Just wanted to thank DSNUTS for putting a spotlight on these 8320's. Has anybody anywhere done a comparison review between these and an...

Monoprice Hi-Fi DJ Style Headphone Review

I picked up the 8323's a few weeks ago. I really like them. Probably going to add this headphone cable http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-GC17103-Auxiliary-Audio-Cable-3/dp/B003CK70VC/ref=cm_cr_pr_sims_t or this...

Need help rounding out my cheapo collection

Quote: These look awesome.  Not quite what I was looking for since it looks like they protrude quite far outside of the ears. Decided to get the 8320 (couldn't resist a 14.2 mm driver for $8.40 shipped) and the 3580 (look perfect for on the go or laying down)  as recommended by kmhaynes...

Need help rounding out my cheapo collection

Quote: Thanks for the quick suggestion. Are the Phillips SHE3580's superior to the M9's or the FX40's in your opinion?   Thanks again kmhaynes. I will be ordering the SHE3580 instead of the Monoprice 8320's because I'm reading the Phillips actually sound better and the M9's as well for...

Need help rounding out my cheapo collection

First, thank you all for your help in choosing a set of full sized earphones. I started with some cheap Coby's with 40 mm drivers to get an idea of what I wanted in a full sized over the ear set of cans. Feels weird using "cans" since I know so little about headphones and audio equipment in...
