I have been hoping for a meet in LA area for a while now.  Just found out about this meet, is it too late to join? My gear isn't anything spectacular, but I've been trying to demo HD800s for awhile now for an upgrade. I have Beyer T1, Schiit Lyr, and Burson HA160.   I am in Sherman Oaks, CA.

I love the look of this amp, but I feel like I would only use it for an office setting. I would like a better performance set up for home use.

I always loved the AKG 701/2 look, but for that price tag and sound, it's really not worth it for me. I find the sound rather thin and unpronounced.

Could we get a description of the actual models you used? Were the cans broken in? You have to wonder what source they are put through as well. Some headphone and amp combinations are vital to get the most out of your headphones.

I love my Lyr, if I had not bought a Burson HA160 I would have been very happy with the purchase. Definitely the greatest option in that price range.

I am close to joining this family! I have a Lyr coming my way. Going to test it against the Burson HA160... I hope I don't end up liking them both because I can only keep one!

I am trying to decide between the Schiit Lyr and Burson HA-160 for my Beyerdynamic T1s. Before I make the plunge on either amps, does anyone have experience with either combo? Thanks!
