Love my good old 770/80s. They have served me well in everything. They are sturdy and unbelievably comfortable.

I think you should be fine with X-Fi and the 770/80. Also consider that you can eventually get an amp. You don't need one right away.

I don't think anything can replace my DT770s...I have probably put thousands of hours on them and they sound better than ever.

I just got some SR225s and I'm enjoying them. A different and somewhat similar experience as my DT770s. Definitely a lack of bass but its still good. I'm enjoying the more in your face sound and I love treble as well so its all good.

I'm trying to tone it down as I believe I'm getting some tinnitus. Lately I will randomly just get a massive ringing in one of my ears for a few seconds and then it will go away. So...I'm done with racking my brain with overly loud sounds.

Yes...DT770/80 for the major win. Mine have hundreds of hours on them now and they are beautiful.

There is a slight rattling on the right side of my cans but only when it is bassy. If apply slight pressure on the outside it stops. I'm guessing something is loose? Would I be able to fix it easily I don't wanna open em and poke around unless it will be relatively easy. Thanks.

Just got mine and hooked it up time for a good listen.

Mine was shipped on Tues and I'm gonna assume I'll get it tomorrow. I'll be using my DT770s on it quite extensively and I will also add my input.

Even with the creative EQ on with mine they sound fine although mine have hundreds of hours on them. Even with bass boost on they are never very distorted...just mind blowing.

I can't speak for the differences but I love my Dt770/80s

I wore my DT770s to school a few times. The looks arn't that weird honestly.
