I was wondering if anyone had experience with the recessed jack on the 100AAP and the V-Moda boom mic? Has anyone tried grinding out the hole on the cup or is there better solutions?

Can't please them all, lol. Maybe the bass changes after an entire year of constant use. My pink ones are well burned in. 

I deserve a hug from Kaz Hirai if I do that, lol.  But seriously, IMO, these headphones **** on the MDR-1R/A, 10RC and many other hadphones SONY made before the 100AAP.

Thats a damn good deal, a steal even. Do I need a third pair tho? lol. I have pink and black. 

Nitpicking for sure, lol. My internal is only 16GB while my SD card is 128, I don't think I even store much internal. 

^ True but Walkman copies files at like 6/mbs while my USB SD card stick can copy files at 15/mbs. So I just do that :)

They fixed it on the A20, probably A10 too. You just plug it in and press the play button to switch. Update the firmwares. I don't use IEMs so I never have hiss and even my MDR-Z7s sound great straight or amped with my PHA-1.  

Looks like it'll be $350 Australian, would have been better at $299. I have an A10 and A20 so it is harder to justify this for me. Will wait for NW-A40, lol :P

If you own a Black A15 and a Pink A25 would you still consider getting this A30?  Looks like a bit of a down grade? I alternate between the A15/25 when the batteries die. 128GB SD card here. I also have matching Black and Pink MDR-100AAP's

Do we have a price? Z7 was expensive for me but I love them. These look even higher. 

Not a fan of the MDR-1000X, hopefully this model sticks with Bluetooth and we get to keep production of the simply stellar MDR-100AAP. Been rocking the Bordeaux Pink 100AAPs since launch, best time of my life. 

Nice impressions, I agree with most of it too. They sound incredible after a year of non-stop use :) I have a backup pair in case SONY ever stops making these beauties. Ultimately these headphones have saved me money because they are so on point in many areas I don't need to look further.

I tried a Fiio amp and it killed the sweet A15 / 25 sound. 

The 100AAP are seriously good, maybe a little dull with nothing really standing out but I enjoy their even signature from bottom to top. I sometime toss over the idea of which is better Z7 or 100AAP and I kid you not, sometimes I think the 100AAP wins. 

Walkman just has an incredible EQ, it can make most headphones shine with tweaks. 

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - This Unruly Mess I've Made sounds so good on these! I have my Walkman A25 Eq flat with everything off but Clear Bass +2, incredible. 

All my Flacs are ripped from CD so I know everything will work. I have an A17 and A25 but only a 128GB card. 

Most people are praising these with an A25 Walkman, so there might be some weight to that.  My setup is a pink 100AAP and pink A25 (Matching colours improves the sound) Eq wise I turn everything off, flat and only Clear Bass + to 3. 

I'd go as far to say they are best in class for the price. If people find the MDR-Z7 too thin, the 100AAP is a bit thicker but still great!

Another happy customer - check!  These are seriously a league above the 1R/ 1A series SONY had. 

Mine are abused and don't rattle or give microphonics while walking :P Guess I am lucky. 

My would guess fake, hard to say. If you are tight for cash they are a cheap ATH-M50~ ish headphone. Buy from Amazon.

It would look ugly, but you could strap / plug in a Bluetooth receiver into the standard model. 

Also Eq on A25 has + - 10 positions verses 5.
