    JDS Labs Element

Just got my B-stock Element. Quick question, the lighting around/under the gain dial, is it supposed to be even all around? On mine, it seems like the gain dial isn't fully centered thus the lighting on the front half is fairly dim.

    DAC for PC to LSR305?

Thanks! I'll take a look at the Audioquest Dragonfly as well.   Headphones just aren't for me as I am always multi-tasking (i.e. FaceTime with the girlfriend on the iPad) while I am gaming. I always have sensitive ears and usually can't wear headphones for long periods of time.   I am...

    DAC for PC to LSR305?

So I've been researching for a couple of days now and narrowed it down to a couple of choices.   1.) Modi optical DAC 2.) Xonar Essence STX 3.) SB ZXR   Will having a dedicated sound card eliminate most of the interference noise I'm having with the onboard? I know it won't completely...

    DAC for PC to LSR305?

I just built a new gaming rig using the Asus Maximus VIII z170 which has the ROG SupremeFX on-board chip. I have it hooked straight to a pair of JBL LSR305 which is having terrible hum/whine anytime the computer is on. The speakers are perfectly clear when I hook it up to another source. I had...

What 2.0 setup should I replace the Audioengine A5 with?

Thanks mate!   In that case, I can just remove a shelf and open it tall enough to fit up to 24 inch then.   Yes the speakers will be pretty much close close to the wall on the back, so front port would be the best. Though I did have the A5's pretty much against the back wall as well.  ...

What 2.0 setup should I replace the Audioengine A5 with?

So I just picked up a Macbook Air to replace my desktop rig and Audioengine A5 speakers. The A5's were wonderful as near-field/directional speakers, but doesn't really fill up a bedroom vibrantly.   I'm considering a T-Amp like the Dayton DTA-100a and a quality 2.0 bookshelf speaker to...
