Yeah I'm really tempted to try out those JVCs, if they are as good as you say they are then that is a steal. I could maybe bring those to school and have qc15s for home and just sell the beats. Also I try to reply to everyone that posts here so that's the reason for the triple post.

At my best buy they had all the Beats, Skullcandies, Bose, etc on the same shelf right be each other. I didn't see any other headphones suggested to me on here at the store besides the qc15s. They even had a small Sennheiser shelf too but the best looking ones there were the 280s, didn't see any...

Unfortunately they did not have HD-25-1s at Best Buy, however they did have qc15s and I decided to get them because if I don't enjoy them I can just return them within 30 days for a full refund. In which time I might try and order HD-25s somehow and maybe the ones you suggested but so far I am...

What is most important to me is good noise canceling and good audio. I'd prefer more bass for dubstep and what not, also portablilty is pretty much a must. I'm not sure though and I'm about to go to Best Buy to try out some of these headphones suggested to me if they are there.  

I'm pretty new here myself, one pair of headphones someone suggested to me was HFI 580s. They are under $200 and seem like a pretty good pair of headphones. However I don't know much about them but you can look into them.  

Those look nice though they don't look very portable.

I'd prefer to buy my headphones at a store or a trusted site so there is no chance of getting fakes. (Not sure if beats are all people fake)  

Also the HFI-580s look like a really good pair of headphones for their price in my opinion.

He400s looks really big, I don't know if I would want to bring that to school.

Hmm I do like how those Ultrasones look, was pretty much going to choose between qc15s or HD-25-1s but now everyone is giving me more options and I really just don't know.  

Are the HD-25-1s closed thought because in this picture they don't really look like it.

Yeah I have looked at the Vmoda Crossfade Lp and they look alright. When you said you should probably look for isolating phones, should I go with the qc15s then since they seem to be some of the best headphones for isolation, or should I go with the HD-25-1s, or maybe even the V-Moda? Even...

I think it's down to Ultrasone HFI-580s, Bose qc15s, Denon D2000s, Sennheiser HD-25-1-ii (maybe, haven't done as much research on these), and Beyerdynamics dt770. Once again I'm looking for something with good noise cancellation, has good bass and all around good sound, still not sure about all...

Thanks for your opinion but I think I'm pretty much not going to get Beats at this point.  

Yeah I've been looking through this thread, I found someone talking about Ultrasone HFI-580s on a Youtube Review of the qc15s, I can't seem to find it on that thread. Do you know if they're any good?

So far I think the qc15s look pretty good, are they good for bass though do you know?

From what I've seen on this site it seems like everyone tries to stay away from mainstream items like bose, beats, skullcandies, etc. This would be a lot easier if I could try on all these headphones and compare them side by side.  

I've only been on this site since today and I've seen a lot of posts on the M-50s. Also I guess I'm not looking for complete noise cancellation but it'd be nice to not hear everything going on in a cafeteria or places that are similar to the amount of noise.
