Kennerton ODIN, MAGISTER, VALI, Magni, Gjallarhorn, Rögnir, Thridi, Wodan, Thekk, and Thror Discussion.

JM is really helpful I’ve had the gallajhorn mkii headphones for a few weeks. I got a custom edition with Purple Heart wood and they’re amazing. The sound of the headphones is like nothing I’ve heard before and we’ll worth the month I also got some pads from JM. His fuzzy pads are really soft...

    Advice: comparing closed backs

So interesting not sound signature. The ether cx my old boss has. Audio technica was the first brand I had when I entered hifi and this was their first closed back in a while I saw recommended. Sonys we’re hot or miss but for the genres I listened to they were more hit then audio technica...

I’m trying to figure out my next set of headphones and want some input as I can’t try them all as not all can be found. Looking between 1500-3000 with one exception. Also looking at closed back. My current paid is the beyerdynamic 1770 pro These are the contenders: -ether CX Drop -audio...

Comparison - Focal Stellia, Focal Elligancia, Audio Technica Ath-Awkt, Sony-zr1

Hello, So I am looking at buying new headphones however I’ve narrowed the list down yet I can’t try all the different products as there is no where to test near me I am wondering if anyone has tried some or all of these and has any strong feelings towards recommendation Currently I have the 1770...

Sennheiser’s IE900 Audiophile IEM In Stock and Shipping Now! @HeadAmp

Not really. It doesn’t have to do with what set was deemed superior by reviewers at all. It has to do with the supply of the parts and the demand of the product itself. Even if the other set was deemed superior by listeners it doesn’t change how much the more expensive models parts are. And if...

Sennheiser’s IE900 Audiophile IEM In Stock and Shipping Now! @HeadAmp

Everything is over msrp right now in the tech industry for almost every company out there. The exception being Microsoft and apple but that’s because they buy in such bulk and get priority parts. Not fair to judge a company on a global supply chain issue

No Shame on Audeze!!! Buyer needn't beware.

Depends on the product. But what you consider widespread and what a company does are different. Apple and Microsoft won't do recalls if the threshold is below 30%. In addition go and look at the recall Microsoft did. It took them over a year and a half to figure out what version had the issue...

No Shame on Audeze!!! Buyer needn't beware.

Oh and please tell me the last time Microsoft did a recall.

No Shame on Audeze!!! Buyer needn't beware.

And again the iPhone 5C has a failure for the internal clocks and 6 and 6 plus have failures on the display. They are known issues and you don't see Apple replacing those phones for free. They charge $300

No Shame on Audeze!!! Buyer needn't beware.

Okay so why do major corporations not do recalls on every little hardware issue there is. Things cost money. No it's not the fault of the consumer but the warranty is there for a reason. Specifically those manufacturing defects that are in question. What would be the point of having a warranty...

No Shame on Audeze!!! Buyer needn't beware.

There are other things to consider when you own a company. Feel free to make a product and if it has a issue down the road let me know if you fix them all out of warranty and are able to stay in business. And I own audio Technica es 10s. I'll be buying the Audeze EL-8s after I sign my mortgage...

No Shame on Audeze!!! Buyer needn't beware.

To your point about the HiFiman how long had you had the headphones at that point? Those headphones have a 3 year warranty as of now, prior to 2015 it could have been longer as they revamped all warranties. So it was more than likely within the warranty period. Just as all audeze headphones have...

No Shame on Audeze!!! Buyer needn't beware.

Apple doesn't do recalls as often as you think. The iPhone 5c since it was released has an I eternal clock issue that needs a new MLB. There are a few others including one for the 6 and 6 plus. They charge people for the full device replacement. At least audeze offers to only charge for a fix...

No Shame on Audeze!!! Buyer needn't beware.

And how about computers? You don't see Apple replacing hard drives on laptops and those are in town that they will fail. Many people paid $2000-$3000 for that device. Technology breaks, it's just how it works. 36 months is more than generous when many headphones only have a 2 year warranty, if...

No Shame on Audeze!!! Buyer needn't beware.

It's no different than a car, or a computer. Things come with warranties and sometimes they break when the warranty is expired. That's just the way it works for all products. Why should headphones be exempt from this?
