On-board vs Dedicated Digital-out
Is there any difference between using the digital-out from a motherboard versus the digital out from a dedicated PCI sound card? It seems logical that they would be identical, but I'm thinking about the typical "under-powered component" argument with regard to the motherboard. Any thoughts or...- Alexander1

Cute BEYOND guinea pigs
Has anyone tried the Cute BEYOND? I've seen their ad on head-fi (albeit google ads, so they have little control). It does indeed look cute . They claim to drive up to 600ohms which, for the price, seems accurate... the opamps are rollable too. cool. Anybody with a testimonial? Link for...- Alexander1

Cleveland-area 1 on 1
Hi there... there's a thread for a larger Cleveland-area meet but since that doesn't appear to be going anywhere, I'd like to see if there's anyone interested in... basically letting me sample their gear . Up until now I've been plugging my cans into the I/O front panels headphone jack, however, I am now using the Line Out 1 jack...- Alexander1

If my source is a normal computer sound-card with a 3.5mm out jack, do I need some sort of splitter to divide the...- Alexander1

Getting started questions. *Newbie post*
I couldn't locate a newbie forum so I'm posting here with some of the questions I have as I'm just getting into this whole headphone hi-fi crazy thing (and even that statement is probably demonstrative of my newbieness). I've come into some extra cash lately and I decided to buy a pair of...- Alexander1
