My cables are fraying some as well, particularly around the 45 degree plug and and the cable coming out of the ear cups from folding, wearing around the neck, etc. It is unfortunate but my friend has had a pair of LPs for well over a year and been hard on them with no problems so I'm sure they...

These really are beautiful headphones; almost every day someone walks up to me to compliment them or ask what they are. They sound as good as they look and vice versa.

For now I just have two of the screw in my wing piece and I think I'll leave it like that until I can get a replacement. It's purely aesthetic and doesn't affect how the headphones fit together, but I'm glad the issue is pointed out and Val is looking into fixing it.

UPDATE: The space in my right wing piece I mentioned earlier in caused by a broken screw hole the outer piece of the right wing. Any ideas guys?   Note the upper right screw hole is completely destroyed      And some eye candy:

Mine just came today and they sound great! My only concern is a screw is loose on one of the wing pieces but a screwdriver should fix the issue. Sorry about the quality of the image (I don't have a decent camera with me at the moment).

Val also said the wing plates would not be used on the M100 when he told us that the LP shields were compatible 

I've been following this thread for quite a while... page 300 sounds like a good place to jump in. Can't wait to see the finished product! (as I'm sure everyone else is)
